  • What are wax melts?
Wax melts are scented chunks of wax which release scent when heated in a wax warmer, these can be electric or a classic burner which heats up with an unscented tea light. These are an amazining alternative to candles as they dont evaporate and easily cleaned whenever you fancy a change.
  • How to use our wax melts?
Snap off a chunk or two of your wax melt, if using a tea light wax burner remember to use an unscented tea light so you can get the true experience of your chosen fragrange. We recommend using a 4 hour tea light as the bigger tealight may cause damage to your burner as well as burn off the scent in the wax melt too quickly. Once you can no longer smell the fragrance, it is time to replace your wax melt, to do this you need to pop a tea light in and wait until your wax starts to loosen, then simply slide off. Wee buns!
  • What does CLP Compliant mean?
Any company that is selling home fragrance products must comply with EU legislations and have CLP compliant labelling. The CLP Regulation (Classification, labelling and packaging) is a European Union legislation that standardises the warnings that have to be on products which contain chemical substances (essential and fragrance oils). It was decided that candles fall within the CLP Regulations and it became law here in the UK/NI in June 2015. It is Derry Mood Melts (aswel as every supplier in our category) to provide CLP labelling for our home fragrance products which provides all the necessary information to comply with the EU regulations.
